Lost Music: Discovered and Recovered

The program showcases music “Lost & Found”—songs by Yiddish troubadours Nachum Sternheim and Mordecai Gebirtig, works by resistance fighter- poet Hannah Senesh and Hirsh Glik, and musical discoveries by Polish survivor Pawel Gruenspan and Czech exile-to-India Walter Kaufmann. A set of variations on a Hebrew folk song, the last work composed in the Theresienstadt camp by the exceptionally gifted Viktor Ullmann, will round out the program.

Reception to follow.
