SUMMARY:ARC Ensemble\, Music in Exile: New York
DESCRIPTION:Reviving a Lost Heritage\nEstablished in 2002\, the ARC Ensemble (Artists of the Royal Conservatory) is among Canada’s most distinguished cultural ambassadors; with three Grammy nominations and appearances at major festivals and venues around the world. ARC’s repertoire is unique to the ensemble and dedicated to the research and recovery of composers whose music was marginalized under the 20th century’s repressive regimes. \nThis program explores the works of the Polish composer Jerzy Fitelberg and the Viennese Frederick Block\, both of whom fled Europe and settled in New York before WWII.
