FSSA Vocal & Instrumental Majors headed to the city to hear some music on Friday. Students had the opportunity to hear pianist, Jeanne Golan perform pieces of music from a program called “Reclaimed Voices”. This music is centered on composers who had been displaced during the Nazi Regime. These composers drew from an array of stylistic influences from Indian Raga to Euro-American popular dance. Our students listened, asked thoughtful questions and enjoyed bagels after! Thank you to the Hebrew Union College for hosting and to Holocaust Music, Lost and Found for a wonderful afternoon!
